ISO Standards to Ensure Quality, Safety and Environmental Responsibility

Mazzon operates with a certified management system in accordance with the following international standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 50001:2018.

The company has operated with a certified ISO 9001 Quality Management System since 1997.

In 2012, the company achieved certification of its Occupational Health and Safety Management System in accordance with ISO 45001 standards. In September 2015, it also completed certification of its Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, and in December 2021 obtained ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification.

Protecting the health and safety of employees, as well as people in general and the surrounding environment, is the primary objective of the policy adopted by the company's management. The presence of toxic, flammable, harmful, irritating, and corrosive chemical substances requires specific precautions and dedicated training for all personnel working in production departments and laboratories.

To ensure compliance with increasingly stringent Safety and Environmental regulations through effective prevention activities and the continuous improvement of procedures, the company has, for many years, implemented an integrated Safety and Environmental Management System together with the many related activities. Supported by advanced information technology tools, these activities are planned, documented, and kept under rigorous and constant control, including remote monitoring.

Risk assessment documents, improvement plans, staff training programs, preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment, periodic inspections required by procedures and regulations, and environmental monitoring are just some of the activities systematically carried out by those responsible for the sector.

To guarantee product quality for its customers, 100% of incoming raw materials are inspected upon receipt. In addition, all finished products undergo rigorous laboratory testing and are released for packaging only after approval by the laboratory. A certificate of analysis is then issued to confirm compliance with the required specifications.

The company has also undertaken an organizational transformation based on the principles of Lean Management, aimed at maximizing customer value through process optimization, continuous improvement, and problem-solving. This philosophy is built on shared values, effective communication, and respect for people, fostering a constant focus on results and full customer satisfaction.

In business operations, ethics also plays a fundamental role in ensuring the proper functioning and credibility of the company towards shareholders, customers, suppliers, and, more broadly, the entire economic environment in which it operates.

Since early 2013, the company's Board of Directors has adopted an "Organization, Management and Control Model" in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 231/01, which governs corporate administrative liability. The aim of the model is to prevent offences against Public Administration and corporate crimes. The Organizational Model 231 is based on a structured and integrated system of rules, operating procedures, IT systems, and controls implemented throughout the company.

The model consists of a General Section, which regulates the adoption of the model itself, the establishment of the Supervisory Body, information flows, the adoption of the Code of Ethics, and rules of conduct, as well as a Special Section concerning the mapping of risk-related activities, organizational control measures, and the implementation of specific protocols.

At the heart of the model is the Code of Ethics, which establishes the standards of conduct to be followed not only by all employees, but also by collaborators and, more generally, by anyone acting on behalf of Mazzon in managing relationships with the company's key stakeholders.

Mazzon aims to transform the understanding and appreciation of the ethical values that form the foundation of its mission into a competitive advantage.
